Abstract

The title of this service proposal is PKM Songkok Craftsmen Group, Bandung Village, Kebumen District, Kebumen Regency. This activity partner consists of MSMEs Songkok with the brand Dollar Mas and Bir Ali located in the village of Bandung, Kebumen subdistrict, Kebumen district. This PKM Partner location is 7 km from the center of Kebumen, and 7.9 km from STIE Putra Bangsa. Songkok business in Indonesia, especially in Bandung village, Kebumen district is the second largest supplier of skullcap after Gresik district. But in the industry it still needs support and assistance to improve its production and marketing results, because this industry is a business that is relied upon to sustain its economic life. The purpose of this service activity is to form economically independent communities through: 1) providing training as an effort to increase product quantity and quality 2) providing training to expand the market and sales volume. The method of the activity carried out was the delivery of product and market development training materials, as well as the practice of making songkok variants and the manufacture of new songkok designs. The output of these activities: a) increasing daily production capacity, b) increasing product variants, c) increasing the quality of product display, d) having a better marketing strategy, and e) producing scientific articles in national journals. The result was the implementation of training and mentoring activities for PKM Partners so that insight and knowledge of the importance of product development and markets increased. The results of the monitoring showed an indication of the increased motivation of Partners to develop and continue the Songkok industry as a mainstay of the family's economy.
